The idea behind ‘Money’ is to create something controversial. We tried to pick out notes of ink and dirt traces left on a banknote. The most interesting part is to actually make this scent addictive, like money itself!
Creating the smell of money requires building a “banknote accord”. The goal is to replicate the scent of dry paper with a metallic edge, reminiscent of the ink used in the printing process. We also added a touch of dirtiness, as if the banknote has been passed from hand to hand.
